Where to download the Prime IPTV app
There are a few apps with “Prime IPTV” in the name, from different developers. They all do the same basic job. Download from the official store for your device and you’ll get a clean, updated copy.
| Device | Official source | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Android phones & Android TV | Google Play | Search "Prime IPTV" and check the publisher name before installing. Several look-alikes exist. |
| iPhone, iPad, Mac & Apple TV | App Store | One listing covers all four. Add a playlist once and iCloud can carry it across devices. |
| Windows 10 & 11 | Microsoft Store (PrimeIPTV Player) | Has a multi-screen mode for watching several channels side by side. Some features sit behind a paid tier. |
| Roku, Samsung & LG TVs | Roku Channel Store, Samsung Apps, LG Content Store | TV versions usually show a device ID and key on first launch. More on that below. |
How Prime IPTV activation works on LG, Samsung and Roku
This is the step that confuses most people, because the word “activation” means two different things here.
- Activating the player. When you first open the TV version, it shows a device ID (sometimes called a MAC address) and a device key. After the free period, the developer charges a one-time fee to keep that TV unlocked. You pay that on the developer’s website, not to us.
- Adding your subscription. On the same developer website, you enter your device ID and key, then paste the playlist details from your Prime IPTV login. Reopen the app on the TV and the channel groups load.
If that sounds like a lot of steps, it’s because it is. Send us your device ID and key on WhatsApp and we’ll add the playlist for you. It takes a couple of minutes.
How to log in with your Prime IPTV subscription
Most players, including the Prime IPTV app, offer two ways to add a service:
- Xtream Codes API (recommended). Choose “Login with Xtream Codes” or “Add user”, then type the server URL, username and password from our message. This also loads the TV guide and the movie library.
- M3U playlist URL. One long link that contains everything. Use it for apps that don’t have an Xtream option, like VLC.
Type the server URL exactly as sent, including http:// and the port number at the end if there is one. Most “login failed” messages we see come down to a missing port or a space at the end of the password.
Which player we’d pick for each device
The Prime IPTV player is a fine choice, but it isn’t the only one. After helping a lot of people set up, these are the apps we suggest first:
| Device | Our pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Firestick & Fire TV | TiviMate | Best guide layout, quick channel switching, remembers your last channel. |
| Android TV & Google TV | TiviMate | Same as Firestick. Free to start, small yearly fee for extras like catch-up. |
| Samsung & LG TV | IBO Player or Prime IPTV player | Both install from the TV's own app store. No extra box needed. |
| Apple TV | iPlayTV | One-time purchase, feels like a native Apple app, solid guide. |
| iPhone & Android phone | IPTV Smarters or Prime IPTV player | Easy to type a login in; good for watching on the go. |
| Windows & Mac | IPTV Smarters or VLC | Smarters for the guide, VLC if you just want a channel playing. |
Prime IPTV app not working? Check these first
- “Invalid login”: retype the password by hand instead of pasting it, and check the server URL ends with the right port.
- Channels load but won’t play: your plan may be playing on its maximum number of screens. Close the app on another device and try again.
- No TV guide: in the app’s settings, refresh or update the EPG. The first load can take a minute on a big playlist.
- Buffering on one channel only: try that channel’s backup feed, usually listed just below it with an HD or FHD label.
- TV app asks for payment: that’s the player’s activation fee, covered above. Your Prime IPTV plan is still active.
