Step by step
- 01
Turn on Developer options
Go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then About. Highlight your device name and press the select button seven times until it says you're a developer. Go back one screen and Developer options now appears.
- 02
Install Downloader
From the Home screen open Find, then Search, and type Downloader. Install the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews. It's free.
- 03
Allow Downloader to install apps
Back in Settings, My Fire TV, Developer options, open Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to ON.
- 04
Install TiviMate
Open Downloader, select the address bar and enter the TiviMate download link we sent with your login. When the file finishes, choose Install, then Done. Delete the installer file when Downloader offers to, it frees up space.
- 05
Add your Prime IPTV playlist
Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes. Enter the server URL, username and password exactly as sent, then press Next. TiviMate checks the login and shows the number of channels and movies it found.
- 06
Load the TV guide
Press Next again and TiviMate downloads the guide. Give it a minute the first time. When it's done, press the Home button on the remote once and you're on the live guide.
Things that help
- Hold the select button on a channel to add it to Favorites. A short Favorites list makes the guide far quicker to use.
- In TiviMate settings, under Playlists, set the guide to update once a day.
- If the picture stutters, plug the Firestick into the TV's power adapter, not the TV's USB port. Underpowered sticks cause odd glitches.
- An Ethernet adapter for Firestick costs around $15 and fixes most Wi-Fi buffering on game nights.
